about
…AND WHERE ARE WE NOW?
This audio walk/ sensory-scape comes from a collaborative practice between myself and designer Fran Edgerley, now collaboratively facilitated and compiled by the group, with sound and music composed by Tommy Hodgkins Khosla. It is designed as a structure that can be taken on and organised by different groups of people. It can be practiced in any location, public space, at home, inside or outside and is accessible and inclusive. Parts of the audio are in 360 and binaural, so for the best listening experience use ear/headphones if you can.
A collection of embodied invitations and imaginative offerings encouraging slowing down to reorient from our senses while connecting with our surroundings as a political act of resistance. What happens if people collectively engage in subtle daily practices rejecting our bodies and attentions as tools for capitalism to usurp?
A process of detuning a loud rational mind, while prioritising becoming bone, moon, shadow, texture, light & sound, re-organising into multiplicity. The walk opens up experiences of potential cosmic endlessness and weighted ground, reconnecting with sensorial power, journeying from private into public space.
